Baremetrics + Intercom
BaremetricsOverview
Intercom is where your team talks to customers. Baremetrics connects to it in both directions: a Baremetrics widget in the Intercom Inbox shows each customer's MRR, total charges and delinquency status right next to the conversation, and your Intercom tags, attributes and support metrics come back into Baremetrics. Support sees the revenue behind every conversation, and you see how support lines up with revenue.
What Baremetrics sends to Intercom and brings back
- Revenue next to every conversation. The Baremetrics widget in the Inbox's Details panel shows the customer's MRR, total charges and delinquency status, so your team knows who they're talking to before they reply.
- A card-update link at hand. When a payment has failed, the customer's Recover update-card link is right in the widget, ready to share.
- Support metrics in Baremetrics. Track Intercom new tickets, closed tickets, time to reply, time to close and average rating alongside your revenue metrics.
- Intercom context for segmentation. Tags and custom attributes sync onto the matching Baremetrics customers, so you can filter and segment your metrics by them.

How does the Intercom connection work?
- In Baremetrics, open Settings, then Integrations, then Intercom.
- Authorize your Intercom account.
- Add the widget to your Inbox. In the Intercom Inbox, open the Details panel on the right, click Customize or Add more, and select the Baremetrics app.
- Let the first sync run. Tags and attributes for your billing customers appear in Baremetrics within minutes to a few hours, depending on how many users you have.
- Stay in sync. After that, data updates every 2 hours.

What are the limits of the Intercom integration?
- Customers are matched by email. Intercom users are matched to your billing customers by email address, so customers whose emails don't match won't sync.
- Some sources can't be matched. The App Store, Google Play and Shopify don't share customer emails, so those customers won't match unless you add emails through the Baremetrics API.
- The first import takes time. Large Intercom accounts can take a few hours before tags and attributes show up.
- Data isn't real time. Updates arrive every 2 hours.
